Frequently Asked Questions

Your bamboo toothbrushes will last 3 to 4 months. With proper care, the bamboo toothbrush can last just as long as a conventional plastic toothbrush. The American Dental Association recommends replacing your toothbrush every 3 months, or when the bristles have frayed.

Bamboo brushes are naturally antibacterial and pretty hardy, so you don’t have to do anything out of the ordinary to care for them.

a. Rinse the bristles with tap water, after brushing your teeth, to remove food debris and toothpaste foam.
b. Dry the bamboo handle and the bristles with a towel.
c. Store the bamboo toothbrush in a vented cup to avoid a pool of water at the bottom, which will create moldy effect.

When used in its raw form, such as in the shape of a toothbrush handle, bamboo does have a considerably smaller ecological footprint compared to plastic. This is because bamboo is biodegradable.

If you just dispose a bamboo toothbrush into your garden, it might take as long as 5-10 years to fully break down. A home composter should take around 4-6 months
